Produced from 100% estate-grown Albariño - cultivated in a single plot of the Finca Tremoedo vineyard in Vilanova de Arousa. Vines of average age approaching 40 years are pergola-trained in shallow granite soils. The grapes are hand-harvested into 17kg crates. After 12 hours contact with the skins, the free-run juice undergoes fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. The wine is aged on fine lees for 36 months.
This is stunning Albarino!
Exotic aromas with notes of pineapple and honeysuckle with some saline characters. The palate is gently rounded, with ripe tropical fruit and peach notes backed by a subtle creamy, leesy character, a touch of spice and orange peel, with great acidity and a long minerally finish. 2020 was one of the best vintages in recent memory in Galicia and the first and very successful vintage of wine maker Diego Rios - Tim Atkin's 'Young Winemaker of the Year' for 2023.
Delicious wine!!
