Cerron make much more elegant wines than is the norm for Jumilla, their whites in particular get great press and are highly sought after.
At 840 metres above sea level this is an unusual planting of Chardonnay in Jumilla, Spain. Farmed organically. Matured in large format French and Hungarian oak barrels too.
"This is really lovely. Flinty and minerally, chalky and dry with hazy green apple juice, just ripe stone fruits and a touch of brown pear. There’s a bit of exotic spice through this all, cinnamon too. Some almond and halva notes in the mix. It carries itself really well, generally just delicious and a sense of refreshment. A touch of tonic water perhaps? Yes. Why not. This is very interesting and utterly gulpable stuff. Highly recommended." The WineFront
