Collection: Tenuta San Guido, Bolgheri - Latest Releases

Tenuta San Guido's rise to fame is attributed to Mario Incisa della Rocchetta's vision. The estate, rooted in his wife’s family’s land in Bolgheri since the 1800s, was named "Sassicaia" for its gravelly soil, similar to France’s Médoc region. Mario planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines, enlisting winemaker Giacomo Tachis to shape the winery’s style. In 1968, Tenuta San Guido released its first vintage, earning critical acclaim and global recognition. The wine quickly became renowned for its exceptional quality, especially as one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons.

A milestone came when it became the first wine to receive its own Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) status. Known for rich cassis flavors and a hint of cedar, Tenuta San Guido wines are praised for their power, elegance, and long-lasting finish, securing its position among the world's top fine wine producers.

We have a few cases of the Sassicaia 2022 and La Difese 2023 available to order, under bond, en primeur. The wines are due Autumn 2025.
