Collection: Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2014
In 1952, the Taittinger family unveiled its most iconic creation: Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs - their most exclusive and premium cuvée - in honour of the Comtes de Champagne and in particular, Thibaud IV, whose seal proudly adorns every bottle of Taittinger.
This cuvée is crafted exclusively from first-press Chardonnay grapes sourced from five Grands Crus villages of the Côte des Blancs region, —Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Oger, and Mesnil-sur-Oger, which all have a renowned soil quality for Chardonnay, the Taittinger hallmark which gives their wines elegance, delicacy and finesse. Between 6-8% of the wine is aged in oak barrels for 4-6 months, imparting subtle toasted notes that elevate its complexity. The finished wine then spends over 10 years resting in the historic UNESCO chalk cellars located deep under the St Nicaise Cellars in Reims, the home of Taittinger.
