Bodegas Alceño is a family-owned winery that has been making wines in Jumilla since 1870. They specialise in making wines from old vine Garnacha that are true to terroir but offer freshness and intense fruit character at an exceptional price.
Nowadays of course Jumilla is famous and many more wineries have joined them since! Today, this estate makes delicious, rich yet balanced and easy drinking wine at great prices, and with the majority of it certified organic.
The vines are planted at a height of 600 to 800 meters in rocky and chalky soils. DO Jumilla is located on a high plain in the eastern region of Spain, acting as a transition zone between the Mediterranean coastal area and the high central plateau of Castile-La Mancha.
