Collection: International Sauvignon Blanc Day 2026

May 1st is International Sauvignon Blanc Day. To mark this year's celebrations, we’re highlighting five of New Zealand's finest examples, all scoring 90+ points in the latest Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate tasting — a clear mark of quality across the range.

First produced commercially in New Zealand in the 1970s, Sauvignon Blanc has become the country’s most important grape and a global benchmark for the style. Regions like Marlborough continue to lead, known for wines with freshness, intensity and distinctive fruit character.

The New Zealand approach goes beyond traditional terroir, captured in the concept of 'tūrangawaewae' - a strong connection between the wine, the land and the people behind it. The result is a style that’s both consistent and evolving.

Why drink it now?

Crisp, aromatic and versatile, Sauvignon Blanc pairs easily with seafood, Asian dishes, salads and lighter meats.
