Nestled next to the Pevensey Levels Nature Reserve and less than 5 miles from the sea in East Sussex, Henners Vineyard was established in the picturesque village of Herstmonceux in 2007.
The Henners wines are made by a small team of just three people: Collette, Will and Samantha. They are involved in every aspect of wine production; from grape to glass. In fact, each team member will handle every bottle two or three times before release and has oversight of every element. Collette joined the team as Head Winemaker in 2019 and really is a tour de force. She oversees the day to day running of the Estate and all aspects of wine production at Henners.
Her mission has been to reinvigorate the brand and develop the winery with cutting edge technology to make sure every wine is flawless.
"Foxearle was the name of the hundred, or medieval county, in which the village of Herstmonceaux and our vineyards lie. We celebrate that ancient shire's name in this cuvée with our proud fox, earl of his hundred, many of which still pounce amongst the vineyards at Henners." - Collette O'Leary, Winemaker.
