Much loved by our team, Gallimard has produced our house champagne for over 20 years!
The Gallimard family have been producers in Les Riceys since 1930, bottling their own wines when most similar estates still sold all their grapes to the big Houses.
They now have 10 hectares of prime hillside vineyards on the steep slopes around Les Riceys in the Aube, the southern extremity of Champagne - home to many small family-owned growers and a world apart from the manicured environs of Reims and Epernay.
Didier Gallimardâs vines average age is over 30 years and the dramatically sloping vineyards, which are of chalk and Kimmeridgian limestone, are planted mainly to Pinot Noir and just a little Chardonnay.
