With several small plots scattered over various municipalities (different altitudes, orientations, soil structures, etc.), Domaine La Lôyane are able to vinify different and complementary terroirs. This diversity brings complexity during blending. Concerned about the quality of our wines, this passion leads to the purest expression of their terroirs.
To set the harvest date, they taste the berries in order to reach the optimal phenolic maturity. The white and rosé harvests are carried out at night or in the morning to preserve as much freshness as possible.
For the Crus, Côtes du Rhône Village and certain parcels classified as Côtes du Rhône, the harvest is carried out manually with sorting on the vine. the harvest is transported in stainless steel skips to reduce oxidation.
They use wooden containers: Demi-muids 400 to 600 L and Barrels 225 L. The barrels are coaled regularly. Depending on the wines, they work the fine lees, which brings amplitude and "fat". They rack the wines in the spring to clean them. Falls of materials and scale settle naturally during the winter. Following the rackings, tasting ensures the best blends before bottling takes place at the estate.
