A delicious Sauvignon made from the Ceres Plateau region. Donovan Rall is consultant winremaker so its no surprise this is no ordinary Sauvignon! 50% is aged in tank 50% in 2-3 year old oak barrels. Extended time on lees as well gives this wine a lovely textural richness. Tangy and fresh with grapefruit and other citrus, a subtle herbaceousness and a crisp finish that lasts quite a while, just a hint of creaminess too. Beautiful wine and sure to be very food versatile given the extra weight to the wine and lack of overtly tropical notes!
