This wine is made from a single, distinctive vineyard: our A Malosa estate, a 21-hectare property planted in four phases between 2015 and 2018. Located in Éntoma, in the Don Fiz paraje at the heart of the Val do Galir, the vineyard spans a range of soil types. The eastern part features extremely poor, slate-rich soils composed entirely of schist, while the western section has more loamy, clay-based soils. The vineyard is laid out in terraces between 400 and 600 metres above sea level, with both north- and south-facing exposures.
"The 2024 Val do Galir A Malosa Godello was produced with Godello from their 21-hectare A Malosa vineyard in the village of Éntoma in the Galir Valley, where they have different expositions, altitudes (400 to 600 meters) and slate and schist soils. It fermented in stainless steel vats, oak foudres and 500- and 600-liter barrels and matured in the foudres and barrels for seven months. They want to go beyond the yellow apple notes in the Godello, and it's pale, clean and precise. Like all 2024s, it's very young but harmonious with some herbaceousness. It has good ripeness, 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.0 and 7.2 grams of acidity and a chalky texture. It's serious and elegant." 93pts Luis Gutuiérrez The Wine Advocate
