90pts Vinous
"A whiff of lemon oil mixes with sweet mint and crushed rocks as the 2024 Etna Bianco opens in the glass. This is juicy and playful in feel with ripe melon and a cascade of inner florals that swirl throughout. It leaves a salty sensation and nuances of candied citrus on the wickedly fresh finish."
A great expression of Mount Etna’s volcanic slopes, this white blend is mainly Carricante, with Catarratto and Grecanico adding texture and complexity. Sourced from vines aged 5 to 80 years and rooted between 600–900 meters on Etna’s northern face, the fruit is harvested in late September and gently pressed before a cool fermentation and aging in stainless steel. The result is a pure, mineral wine reflecting its high-altitude origin.
