Another delicious wine from Sottano. This is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Syrah, aged in 70% French oak and 30% American oak for 12 months. Plum and black cherry on the nose with hints of violets and oak, quite perfumed. Dense with sweet ripe fruit to the fore again plum and black cherry the leading lights with spice and integrated oak. This is a voluptuous mouthful that is drinking really well now, though no hurry. The pure drinkability of this belies the complexity and ageing capabilities - great depth and a wonderfully layered palate.
