This unique, still, Pinot Meunier has a delicate rose gold hue and displays exquisite aromas of orchard pear, apple and floral hints combined with a deliciously creamy texture.
The hand-picked grapes were carefully whole bunch pressed. The juice was cold settled for 48 hours before being racked and undergoing a long, slow fermentation using aromatic yeasts. The wine went through full malolactic conversion, resulting in a creamy texture and then rested on its fine lees to build palate weight.
"There’s a faint pink hue to the wine. Intriguing nose: resinous herbs, green-apple peel, quince. Fresh white currants. Quite savoury and undoubtedly refreshing – super-fresh, in fact. The acidity and the savouriness blend attractively with the fresh lemony flavours. A salty, mineral finish. Very distinctive and appetising. " JancisRobinson.com
