Rita Hills, a medium-bodied Chardonnay that's nicely balanced, has bright yet integrated acidity, and outstanding length. The appellation release comes 90% from La Rinconada and 10% from Sanford & Benedict, saw malolactic in barrel (as do all of these Chardonnays from Sanford), and 11 months in 25% new French oak. This wine is drinking superbly, rich and toasty with lovely fruit. Good acidity too, long and quite voluptuous yet classy at the same time!!
