"The regular Rall Syrah comes from the same site as the Ava bottling, located between the Kasteelberg and Porseleinberg. Entirely concrete fermented, it marries aromas of violet and incense with a serious, layered palate of blackberry and liquorice, complemented by sappy acidity, lots of colour and well-structured tannins. 2028-33 " 94pts Tim Atkin MW South Africa Report 2026
"The 2025 Syrah, from schist soils and raised in concrete from the lowest-yielding vines that Rall farms, offers almost sultry brambly black fruit on the nose, with hints of warm bricks and dried blood. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins, fine depth and grip, showing more density than the "Ceres" cuvée towards the finish, with a residual pepperiness and savoury notes on the aftertaste. Give this two or three years in bottle — this has enormous potential." 94pts Neal Martin Vinous 9/26
