Delicious, bright, floral Garnacha-based wines from vineyards in Alforins, c. 700 metres above sea level. Rafael Cambra believes in minimal intervention throughout the process, from vineyard to cellar, aiming for elegance. This years blend is 80% Garnacha, 15% Monastrell and 5% Forcalla a local variety. This has lovely plum and raspberry aromas with a touch of earth and leather. It's medium-bodied with wild berry flavours and a fresh finish. Lovely, juicy, versatile red.
"The young and fruit-driven red 2023 Soplo was produced with 80% Garnacha and the rest Monastrell and Forcallà, fermented with 30% full clusters and matured in 17,000-liter vats and 500-liter barrels for six months. It has an easy profile—medium-bodied, clean and balanced, with fine tannins—and is dominated by red fruit and some spice. Very pleasant. It has 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3,6 and 5.1 grams of acidity. 45,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024." 92 pts Luis Gutiérrez The Wine Advocate
