Grown on the shallow, south-east facing, granite soil, slopes of Cornas. The vineyard is roughly 450m above sea level which lends a delightful freshness to the wine.
The vinification is in oak barrels followed by a further 2 years in barrel prior to release.
"Rocking raspberries, blackberries and hints of cassis emerge from the 2018 Cornas, which shows more spice, bacon fat, flowery incense, and pepper with time in the glass. With beautiful concentration, ripe tannins, and just flat-out terrific balance, this is a smoking good Cornas from this team that needs 2-3 years to integrate its oak component but will keep for 10-15 years. Bravo!" 95pts Jeb Dunnuck Nov 2020
