I have followed and bought Oakridge wines for years when i had my Australian buisness, so its great they are finally being imported. This is Yarra Valley Chardonnay at its best, quite modern in style, citris, stone fruit, a touch of struck match alongside elegant, nutty oak. Fresh with a real zest, but also full enough to feel quite indulgent.
"From chardonnay planted at the Hazeldene vineyard at Gladysdale in '13. Six months on lees in tank before release. A pristine, bright green gold. Gorgeous aromas of stone fruits, lightly grilled nuts and marine scents precede the palate, which is rounder and slightly more textured than the Willowlake but no less pristine or structured. Finishes saline and long. Another '24 Chardonnay from Oakridge that can be confidently cellared for at least the next six to eight years.." 96+pts Philip Rich Halliday Wine Companion 2027
