The new vintage of the Mullineux Signature Syrah is an absolute winner!
90% of the fruit is whole bunch fermented, with maceration extended to as long as seven weeks for some batches because of the quality of the tannins. This creates a lovely structure and balance to the wine, with the tannins corseting ripe and voluptuous fruit. The wine is aged in oak for 20 months before bottling. Lovely dense berry fruits roasted meats with a hint of coffee ad mocha on a long textural, spicy finish.
"If the Mullineux’ terroir-focused Syrahs have maxed out your credit card, why not treat
yourself to a bottle of this "regular" release instead. Sourced from the Swartland's three main soil types, this has lovely fynbos and clove aromas, some stemmy notes from 80% whole bunches, blackberry, cooked meat and tapenade flavours and impressive depth and density.
