Monviert is a family owned and run winery in Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC in Nother East Italy. The vines are managed using the 'integrated struggle' method, which respects the balance of the plants and minimizes the use of chemicals. In the cellar indigenous yeasts are used reducing the need for sulphites.
The Monviert Martagona Friuliano has aromas of chamomile, ripe pineapple, wild flower, honey, fresh apricot, thyme and bitter almond bouquet. It's quite rich but has a freshness about it too, so its not heavy. It can accompany a variety of dishes, think fish starters, risotto's etc
