In 2023 The Symington family decided to strengthen its long-running relationship with the legendary Vinho Verde producer Anselmo Mendes by forming the Mendes & Symington partnership. This joint venture between two of Portugal’s leading wine producing families was established with the aim of developing premium wines from the prestigious Monção and Melgaço sub-region of the Vinho Verde DOC in northern Portugal.
Crafted by Anselmo Mendes, this elegant white wine brings together the precise minerality of Alvarinho from Monção with the vibrant freshness of Avesso from Baião — two origins shaped by the Minho and Douro rivers, at the northern and southern edges of the Vinho Verde region.
A lovely aromatic wine. It reveals a spectrum of citrus fragrances such as lemon and tangerine, interwoven with white floral notes that bestow a distinctive elegance. On the palate, it is crisp, zesty and fresh.
