A wonderful single vineyard Chenin from Gisbourne on New Zealand's north island. Lots of bright lime citrus, peaches and apricots. With a soft, creamy texture and refreshing acidity.
Young vines from the Briants vineyard just across the river from Matawhero, yields are kept low to ensure early ripening and get those ripe, round fruit flavours. Has a gentle creaminess that works nicely with the crisp lemony acidity on the finish.
Would work well with shellfish and meaty fish dishes, probably good with garlic prawns too!
