Willamette Valley, Oregon The Very Special Reserve is a blend that is one of our smallest production wines and made only in exceptional vintages and in ones where we have enough top tier barrels to build an extra reserve level wine without taking away from the quality and character of our typical set of blends each year. 2019 was just such a vintage. As in the past, it is built on qualities of finesse, nuance, elegance and the ethereal qualities we love about Pinot Noir. This unique and superbly balanced assemblage is drawn from half of four barrels, including a lot of co-fermented 777 and Pommard from the southwest aspect of the vineyard, 777 from the southeast, Pommard at the base of the vineyard and 667 at the very highest elevation. 48 cases produced.
