Yet another fabulous release from Larry Cherubino. When i tasted this, not only was I blown away by the quality, but then also the price! Well under £20. It's a fabulous example of modern, New World Chardonnay. A touch reductive, and not at all overblown and alcoholic, but also not lean -it's full of flavour, texture and complexity.
Made from hand picked fruit, whole bunch pressed, fermented with natural yeasts and aged in new and old year old French oak prior to bottling. Aromas of lemon, peaches and tropical fruits give way to pure, clean flavours on the palate. Lemon, hints of white peach and red apple with good acidity and a long, toasty, nutty, gently creamy finish. An exceptionally elegant wine, showing the benefit of careful oak treatment.
