This is Kurt's top red. 2 years aging in new French oak. From 45-50 year old vines grown on granite. Expansive nose with ripe cherry and plum with toasty oak and some spice. Bright on the palate; rich, dense red and black fruits- cherry and plum, lots of toasty oak, hints of chocolate and mocha, liquorice too with ripe but present tannins and really good acidity. It needs a decant ideally and becomes quite voluptuous with air. A food wine, it has impressive structure and length. Impressive and will age well over the next decade.
