Grapes are sourced from this old, volcanic site in Wiesbaden - where vines have grown since the 15th century. The Neroberg vineyard is just 4 hectares, planted with 18 different Riesling clones - later ripening, and therefore the last in the vineyard to be picked. 20% of the wine is vinified in stainless steel, and 80% in 1,200 litre and 2,400 litre oak barrels, with ageing on fine lees for around 4-5 months
Intense and expressive nose packed with honeysuckle, bright citrus and lightly exotic notes. The palate is complex with ripe orchard fruit, lime characters and flinty minerality. Mouth-watering acidity and incredible length on the finish. Beautiful now, so much energy and minerally zest!
Perfect with lightly fragrant Thai dishes, simply grilled fish or white meat.
