The Touriga fruit was harvested when flavour, acid and tannin ripeness was a perfect balance. Ferment was completed over seven days; the must was gently pressed to avoid over extraction of tannins to ensure the opulent fruit was the main feature of this wine style. The wine was finished with no fining and minimal filtration and bottled to retain freshness, dense fruit and an elegant structure through to a long finish. Vibrant deep purple colour. Lifted black fruits, dense black cherry and berry compote on the nose with a slight floral note too. Full of luscious ripe black berry and cherry fruits with some sweet spices and a hint of chocolate and creamy oak. Some tannins too giving the wine good structure and length with some frsh acidity keeping it lively and clean. Very attractive wine.
