The 2023 Chardonnay Estate Westside Farms is gracious, elegant and refined. Floral top notes and bright citrus/orchard fruit are the distinguishing signatures of this polished, refined Chardonnay. This is such a distinctive wine. I especially admire its nuanced personality. The 2023 was sourced from the last remaining parcel of the original 1989 planting, which was done on AXR1 rootstock.

Westside Farms is the Ramey’s 75-acre ranch on Westside Road and has been in use as farmland since the middle 1800s. Almost half the property remains as wild habitat. This vintage is from Block 1, which was planted in 1989 to a Spring Mountain selection. Native yeast fermentation and malolactic all takes places in concrete egg, followed by 20 months entirely in concrete egg.
