The nose of Moncerbal is full of strawberries and raspberries yet it is so focused and precise. With air, a gorgeous scent of wild thyme and fresh mint appears. There is a lilac florality here too; it is fabulous.
Oh, the palate is tremendous. Poised and delicate, it is exceptionally focused with a pure stream of just-picked red cherries and earthy raspberries. The tannins are imperceptibly fine, disappearing like chalk dust on the tongue. A hint of grapefruit zest bursts through on the long finish which explodes with vibrancy and tamed power. The power then ebbs away but the flavours linger on and on. Phenomenal. Drink 2027 to 2046.
