The estate's signature wine, named after the owner Gerald, it is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot
All fruit is estate grown, hand picked and undergoes repeated manual selection to ensure only the best healthy grapes are used. 10% is barrel fermented and the wine spends 20 months in French oak barriques, c 30% new.
Big rich style, opulent but pretty silky too, subtle green leafy notes with ripe black cherry and a hint of plum, with some creamy oak on the long finish. Loves a traditional roast especially red meats.
