Junge Löwen’ is ruby red in colour, with luscious aromas of cherry, black pepper, leather and hints of fine tobacco. It has a beautiful minerality resembling the schisty soils where the fruit is grown. This medium-bodied wine has a lovely vibrancy, smooth tannins and an elegant finish.
85% Blaufrankisch and 15% St. Laurent. The winery is practising organic.
This new vintage is super tasty - full of cruunchy red and black berry fruits, a touch of herb and vibrant tannins. Fresh and appealing yet with enough intensity and structure to make it a good food wine. Good with pasta dishes and was fabulous with some wood grilled lamb cutlets.
