The grapes for this wine were sourced from one of the original plantings of Riesling in the Porongurup ranges of Western Australia’s Great Southern wine region.
Only the finest, more pristine, “free-run” juice was used in the production of this wine resulting in a palate of outstanding finesse, free from the harsh, phenolic characters and deeper colours associated with grape pressings.
A long, cool ferment in stainless steel tanks, minimal fining and the use of screw caps are all further steps towards capturing the inherent delicacy of this cool climate variety.

"This keenly-priced Riesling is ever so slightly off-dry, and, like Gundog Wild Semillon, this sleight of hand adds an extra dimension of juiciness and textural allure that is beautifully offset by the icicle-sharp acidity. With lemony, minty liquid silk flowing across the palate and hints of elderflower and fresh herbs keeping up the action, this is a charming and engaging wine you can drink at speed on a hot day or go slo-mo and relax under its spell."
“The 2023 Porongurup Riesling is firm and taut, with a fine floral display of wisteria and jasmine, cold tea, crushed rocks and shells, with suggestions of citrus pith and brine. A gorgeous wine, it speaks eloquently of the Porongurup subregion of Western Australia.” 94pts Erin Larkin The Wine Advocate 5/24
