This wine blew people away at our recent Gomez Cruzado tasting, it was absolutely superb and wuth great potential.
"The stunning 2021 Pancrudo has a nose of violets, rose petals and translucent red berries with a twist of spice and herbs, aromatic, intoxicating, profound and intense. It has a medium-bodied, elegant palate with vibrant acidity (acid berries), pungent and persistent flavors and fine-boned tannins. It's pure Garnacha from Badarán with power and ripeness, 14.5% alcohol and full development of aromas and flavors. It is nuanced, complex and balanced. It matured in foudre and one-third of the volume in concrete egg. It has to be the finest wine I have ever tasted from Gómez Cruzado. Bravo! 8,981 bottles were filled in May 2023." 97pts Luis Gutiérrez The Wine Advocate
""Twenty years ago, Garnacha from Badarán had 10% alcohol," says Juan Bautista, pointing
out one of the few positive things about our warming climate. This varietal expression comes from three separate parcels and has wonderful perfume and precision, with a combination of scented new French oak and 35% concrete. Floral, racy, crunchy and beautifully balanced with some underlying ferrous grip. 2024-32" 96 pts Tim Atkin MW Rioja Report 2024
