Delicious Nebbiolo. Quite full and rich with lots of berry fruit, a hint of spice and chocolate. Juicy with a touch of classic dried herb, a very forward and inviting style.
Lovely winter red and very food friendly.

"There is something spine-tingling about Marrone’s unoaked ‘entry-level’ Langhe Nebbiolo. Nebbiolo naked, unplugged, no maquillage, no fuss, and yet the beauty and purity soar. This is not simplicity in the sense of plain, uncomplicated, for simpletons. It is simplicity in the exquisite transparency of its singularity. It is Nebbiolo’s treble, the liquid Escolania de Montserrat all-boy’s choir in the basilica of Piemonte’s wine. It’s Allegri’s Miserere mei, high C, pitch perfect, sound sung flung higher than high to vaulted cathedral dome. It is like picking the first truly ripe strawberry and putting it straight in your mouth. That heart-stop, oh, I-did-not-know-strawberries-could-taste-like-this moment. No one should taste Barolo for the first time before tasting a Nebbiolo like this. (TC)" 17.5pts Tamlyn Currie JancisRobinson.com
