Fabulous, rich, full flavoured, yet beautifully balanced Pinot Noir from the Bendigo region in Central Otago. English owner Tim Kerruish makes some lovely wines, in small quantities that have a real following at NYW. This mature 2014 was a massive hit at our Folding Hill Tasting in October.
NZ wine at its best! Carefully cellared for a decade, this special release brings forward all of our estate’s best attributes. A nose of ripe Santa Rosa plums, Sonnet cherries and a touch of dried fruit. Gentle leathery, herby toasted aromas follow this core of fruit. On the palate lively fresh cherries and late autumn raspberries. Delicious mouthfeel with soft tannins coating the mouth, pleasing acidity and a nice hint of barrel smoke. A well balanced and exceptionally long fresh finish. Perfect Central Otago pinot noir for an important birthday or event. This wine is drinking well now but will develop even further with a few more years in the cellar.
