From Manchela and now made by the super Javi Revert. This is absolutely delicious and proving incredibly popular in the wine bar!
"The 2022 Salia is a village red from Ledaña. It was produced with a blend of 60% Syrah, 30% Bobal and 10% Touriga Nacional, and it has strong Syrah aromatic typicity with floral hints. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and 50% full clusters that were foot trodden. It's more approachable than the eponymous Finca Sandoval, looking for more fruit; it's a rounder wine from soils with more clay, but it's lighter and more agile, with more finesse than previous vintages. It matured in used 300- and 500-liter oak barrels, but they are moving toward foudre and concrete, like with the white. It's delicious, and it feels like a real bargain." 93+ points Luis Gutierrez The Wine Advocate
