Hailing from Noto on the South Eastern tip of Sicily, this is widely regarded as the home of Nero d'Avola.Unoaked and vibrant with a lovely perfumed nose, floral notes with black cherry, plum, hints of roasted meats and dark chocolate. Fresh, bright and crunchy, dense cherry and plum, spice, scorched earth, dried herbs and an almost creamy chocolate character, finishing fresh and lively. Like most Italian reds it transforms with the right cuisine and is suddenly an altogether smoother drink too. JH
