The 2025 Tuscan olive oil vintage was variable and at times challenging. Hot weather following May flowering, combined with an unusually mild July, increased olive fruit fly pressure, though careful management kept damage in check. Cooler, unsettled conditions in September added further difficulty, yet the olives ripened more quickly than expected, prompting an exceptionally early harvest that began in October—up to a month ahead of normal at many estates. Yields were significantly lower after the abundant 2024 crop, but higher extraction rates helped offset the reduced volumes. Overall quality is very good, with oils showing notable concentration, spicy intensity, and vivid aromatic character.
