Their Projectas Las Compuertas, consists of seven wines: Criolla, Cordisco, Charbono (Bonarda), Cabernet Franc, two Malbecs and a blend that pays homage to their mother Victoria (Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Cordisco). The vines are planted at 1,050m above sea level and farmed with organic practices.
The Criolla vines were planted in 1943.
All of the PLC wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts, the single varietals in concrete eggs. For the Criolla, the grape skins are removed halfway through the fermentation process, resulting in a refreshing, light style of red. Its super crunchy and fresh with ripe cherry and a slight sour cherry twist, best served cool.
