"The fruit-driven and primary white 2022 Lapola has a nose of chamomile and dry herbs and a medium-bodied and soft palate with a fine-boned texture and purity of flavors. It's ripe at 14% alcohol but keeping very good freshness and acidity, reflected by a pH of 3.18 and 6.666 grams of acidity. In the warm 2022 vintage, it was produced with 86% Godello, 7% Albariño, 6% Doña Blanca and 1% Treixadura, fermented in 600-liter oak barrels with indigenous yeasts and matured partly in those 600-liter barrels and partly in 1,200- and 2,400-liter oak foudres with the lees for 10 months." Has some citrus and stone fruit, a touch of salinity on the nose and some nutty, toasty oak- very appealing. On the palate the fruit is still tangy, clean and fresh, beneath the weight of the wine there is lovely acidity. Has a wonderfully textural feel, long rich with a creaminess, some spice too. All in perfect balance. Delicious wine!
