"The white 2020 Cune Blanco Reserva was produced with grapes from vines planted in Torremontalvo in 1973 at 400 meters in altitude. The full clusters were pressed and the juice let to settle, then it fermented in concrete, oak vats and barrels and was kept with lees and had bâtonnage. It matured in oak for 18 months. It has 13% alcohol, a low pH of 3.31 and 5.55 grams of acidity. It has a creamy nose with notes of spices and smoke; it's classical old-style Rioja white, with the influence from the élevage. The palate is balanced and fresh, with clean flavors. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2023." 92+ Luis Gutiérrez The Wine Advocate
Lovely to see these old styles coming back into fashion. This is rich, yet also has a freshness and its a great food wine. At 5 years old it's really blossoming!
