Dandelion Vineyards Lion's Tooth of McLaren Vale Shiraz-Riesling 2021

"This is, without any doubt, the finest Dandelion red (excluding Red Queen, which is positioned at an entirely different price point) I have tasted. Made from a blend of 92% Shiraz and 8% Riesling, this is a lovely, controlled and evocative wine that wears the McLaren Vale region on its sleeve. While this wine usually passes muster, I wondered what it was about this vintage that particularly caught my eye. While it is not apparent, I think it has perfected complete character separation from [the `Lionheart of the Barossa` Shiraz 2021] and has given it newfound confidence."
