A striking dry Riesling from Germany's Mosel Valley. Biodynamically farmed by one of Mosel's most revered growers, it's name meaning 'from red slate.' A nod to the iron rich soils that lend riper fruit and warm, savory depth.
'The 2024 Riesling vom Roten Schiefer is a mix of the younger vines of Rothenpfad and a pre-harvest from the Nonnengarten. Superb savoriness on the nose blends red apple with iron oxide and petrichor aromas. Slenderness on the palate makes this exquisitely sinuous with a lovely pepperiness. It is buffered, concentrated, svelte, delicious and so savory.'
