Great value, unoaked claret. Merlot 90%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%. The wine is made in a traditional Bordeaux style, with each of the grape varieties fermented separately at 30°C in thermo-regulated, stainless steel tanks equipped with a micro-oxygenation system to soften the tannins. Dark berry fruit and earthy, tobacco aromas mingle with a subtle minty, herbal element. Ripe, warm, plump fruit, with charcoal tannins that are rounded but evident, the structure doesn't overwhelm as all too often it can in Bordeaux.
