Château Fontarèche 'Picapolle' Corbières 2022

A delicious new wine to us from a producer whose wines we really like.A blend of 80% Picpoul Noir and 20% Carignan. The Picapolle Noir (a play on words on the Picpoul Noir variety), has a supple and expressive character, demonstrating why this unusual variety is worth seeking out.

Perfumed, yet quite dense with berty and plum fruits, black cherry and spice too. Quite full but also juicy and very approachable and attractive.
