I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Loire Cabernet Franc, and maybe Cabernet Franc in general! When its green, herbaceous and unripe I find it pretty undrinkable. Thankfully this is Cabernet Franc I love, it's ripe yet still fresh and only 12.5% alcohol. Bright red berry and cherry fruit, some varietal grassy notes too. Juicy and fresh black and red cherry, hints of raspberry, chocolate and some complexing grassy varietal characters. Served cool this is simply delicious, fresh and bright, with some weight too. I reckon this would love a bit of lamb!
