Delicious red from the brilliant Celler del Roure winery in Moixent, Valencia. Aged in clay amphora for c5 months.
‘Vermell’, a blend of Mandó, Arcos and Garnacha Tintorera, has a pretty nose, with crunchy red berry fruit and herbal flavours.
This new 2024 is singing, have drink it several times in Spain and it's delicious. A touch riper than the last couple of vintages which seems to have really highlighted rhe bright fruit. It's a lovely fresh, perfumed red, great served with a slight chill. Red cherry and berry fruits are the main focus with a touch of spice, it's all quite crunchy and easy drinking. A Valencian Beaujolais almost! Great with fish like tuna through to red meats too. Good with lightly spiced Asian dishes too.
