On a visit to Celler del Roure a few months ago, i tasted the whole range and found a few wines not coiming to the UK. After a bit of negociation i have shipped a parcel of 3 wines pretty much unique to us.
This is a delicious wine made from the local Arcos grape and the local Mando grape, roughly 2/3 to 1/3. The wines are largely whole bunch and ferment and mature in large clay amphora. They see this wine as a challenge as its made without international varieties and oak, and in the vineyards around Valencia that used to be unheard of. Thankfully more common now. This is a beautiful expression, its organic, biodynamic and coming from the best vineyards. Crunchy and bright, yet with some structure and intenisty. It's delicious now, though am sure it would age well too. A really unique, characterful and delcious wine from this great winery in Moixent, Valencia.
