"It smells of cigar smoke and old chamois leather and pine needles in a forest at night. It tastes of damson jam and juniper, kirsch and Kahlua, chocolate-mint leaves. Despite that, it's remarkably fresh! Dangerously drinkable (with one eye on that 15.5% alcohol), considering the velvet crush of tannins, cherry-sweet juice and moreish caraway spice on the finish. Superb balance. Really accomplished." 17.5 tamlyn Currie Jancis Robinson- this was for the 2017, the 2018 is similar just a little less pokey at 14.5%!!
Made with dried Cabernet Sauvignon grapes blended with normally vinified fresh Canova grapes. Aged in barriques for 60 months !
